I can’t believe it’s almost 2 months that I last updated my blog. I think many of you may have given up looking at this blog.
Moving into my new place, I have to say it is a ‘life changing experience’. Things are never going to be the same again as we are on our own to take care of the family. My mum and mum-in-law both have other obligations, younger babies to take care and we need to take care of ours ourselves. Not an easy task as I have not taken care of my 2nd one as much as the 1st one, so it’s been a long time. Ok, right, confession time, taking care of the 2nd one has been relatively easy, since I do not need to do much, now I have to do it the hard way.
I’m not complaining, it’s probably a good time for more bonding time with my 2nd boy. But preparing the 2 boys every morning is no simple matter, with each of them taking turn to do things out of the ordinary. So every morning the routine goes like this, wake up for a simple breakfast, and brush up, wash up, prepare myself. Make milk for Darien (the younger one obviously) and then wake up Denver (my 1st born) to get him ready first. After that, Darien usually wakes up on his own, change diaper for him, change uniform for him (he’s been attending childcare ever since we moved to our new place), feed him milk, shout at Denver to get ready quickly, wash the milk bottle, scream at Denver again to wear his shoes, wear shoes for Darien and myself, clear rubbish, and off we go.
I wish I have an extra pair of hands, you see, my wife goes off to work before I even wakes up, so I pretty much have to do this alone for the rest of my life! Ok, not the rest of my life, just till they know how to take care of themselves. Which, by the look of things, seems light years away.
Still, I think everyone of us enjoyed our new place, especially after squeezing the entire family into one bedroom for the 10months. 10 long months! It’s suppose to be 2 months, but who knows what goes wrong. But I have to thank God for putting everything in to place finally, and the many blessings along the way as we prepare our new house.
So meanwhile, expect less updates as I continue to grapple with my ‘new’ life. Till then, take care!
