Wow…it seems like ages since I last updated. As you probably guess, has been very busy recently. Since I collected the keys to my new house, have been running around checking out prices, scouring warehouse sales, searching through newspaper, calling contractors, getting quotes, reading forums, etc…you get the picture.
During this time, I have settle the sofa set, window grilles, some Ikea items, ceiling fans, lights and water heaters. Also managed to get the curtain/blinds decided. My brother will be helping me with the kitchen cabinets, built-in wardrobe, shower screen and also painting.
While I still have to decide on electrical points, scv points, aircon and a TV bench. STRESS! Also, have to think of a way to hide the ugly bomb shelter door which is right there near the entrance. One way of hiding it (or an attempt to hide it) that we thought off (after stealing ideas from a forum I have been visiting) is to do a big painting on the door and the wall besides it. This will make the wall and door seems like one big piece of painting. There is only one problem, I am not good at painting. Heehee….if there are any volunteer, do let me know 
I will try to update on my reno story here over time, and post some pictures along the way. Will try to backtrack and share some interested stories I had while searching around. In the meanwhile, it’s more renovation work!
BTW my ceiling fans and lights and heater are finally up yesterday. At least it finally get started.
